Getting the Wheeling Fever

Update:

I found out that the bolt or nut in question is a jamb nut that tightens down on the adjustment screw. There may be a gasket or seal under the jamb nut. I wonder if there is pressure under it. I will try to unscrew the jamb nut and see if there is a seal under it.

1989 Raider 3.0 5 speed 225K Possible rebuild about 30k ago, no proof.
