Need a Spot
Hello guys. I decided to give a little info on my new (to me) raider. I've been wanting to get some sort of four wheel drive vehicle but I have a small budget. So most Land Rovers and Cruisers are not an option. One day I was checking out Graig's list and saw this Raider for $1600. I thought it looked pretty cool but kinda forgot about it for a week or so. I checked back later and he'd marked it down to $1195. So I sold one of my rifles and went to take a look at it. I drove about 50 miles out on a Saturday afternoon. When I arrived I realized That it was rust free and the body was straight. It has 321,000 miles on it but the engine was replaced about 70,000 miles ago. Along with some transmission seals and a master cylinder. The shocks are worn out pretty bad but I just ordered some KYB gas replacements. The original owner really must have loved this truck because it shows. I bought it from the second owner who was the service manager at a Dodge dealer ship where the first owner bought it. According to the title the seller gave me he only put about 200 miles on it before he sold it to me. O' and he said I could have it for an even $1000. AT/AC

I see that it has headlight squirters, which means a limited slip rear & bouncy seat. Great score.

Man dude, that's a nice Raider. You have the head light washers which indicates the off-road package. That should have an LSD rear, and bouncy seat. Great pick. You'll find lots of info here.

Is it an automatic?

That is a deal. Want to trade for a 93 SR with a rear ARB?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

That's the Gen1 pick of the litter for US spec trucks. Very good score. Undertired, though. 31-10.50's work real nice with no mods. What year? If late 89 or later, you may also have the lockup converter a/t. Think the tranny label has an "R" code on the lockup unit. You should feel the converter lockup as you accel past 42-45mph in O/D. Won't lock in 3rd. Lockup saves 300rpms of engine speed at 3000rpm cruise.
