In my opinion, you only need to use the HD Torsion Bars if you are adding weight to the front of the vehicle with a heavy bumper and/or a winch. Without the extra weight, you might just be making your ride more harsh and your front suspension less effective.

If the front of your vehicle is sagging a bit, you can try cranking up your existing torsion bars a bit.

I will offer no opinion of shocks though. It's been a few years since I've had to buy any.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Since I have the axle under the springs now, the cables for the parking brake hange kinda low. Has any one ever swapped the L+R backing plates so the cables go into the top?
