If you're swapping a motor in anyway, it may behoove you to go with a V6 or V8, and jack the engine up a bit relative to the frame rails, to get more room under the engine for the IFS -- especially handy if you plan a live-axle swap and want to stay low but still have up-travel and an oil pan.
