Does anybody know if a 15" rim will fit on a 2008 tacoma? The rims are stock aluminum sr5 rims from my 92runner.

I know on the first gen Tacoma those wheels would not clear the calipers.

Almost certainly any 15" wheels won't fit. The 2005+ Tacomas have calipers that are very large - they are larger than my 2000 4Runner's stock calipers and even slightly larger than a 2001 Tundra's calipers, both of which require 16" wheels.
