I've an idea-

Maybe we could meet for social reasons in the evenings at portal.

then on each morning, we could have three meeting places... one for easy or beginner, one for medium or advanced, and one for hard or expert.

That way depending on what type of trail you wanted to do you could show up at the appropriate location. Say a given time for each, probably a little earlier for the expert guys. I'm thinking that the medium group would need the largest area, so that should probably be portal. McD's for the experts, and somewhere like city market for the easy group.

This way even if you were not included in the discussion on trail selection you'll still have an idea where to go.
