In any case you might of repaired ur problem, ill give my two cents on what i think...

I have 02 wrangler with the 4.0 motor, its all stock that it can be, I notice it tends warm up some what quickly over a 4 banger (go figure motor size) once it is warmed up, the temps hold around 200~210F off what guage says, I notice when under extreme loads motor will peak at 220F, big deal.

But from my experience with motors and them over heating, you might want to check the head gasket or comprestion in pistons. I had a blown gasket before whitch lead to motor over heating, whenever i got "on it" the motor would leak combustion presure into the water jacket, pushing the coolant out the system, or burn it off, in any case any hard load would lead to motor over heating and less coolant in the system. I had brand new equipment, but i guess the turbo and 21+ psi boost didnt help .

In end its always good check the entire motor out, a motor over heating can have bunch of reasons why its heating up, I guess thats why they call it "troubleshooting".

It would to me be hard to see a 4.0 motor blowing a gasket in any case, its iron on iron right?
