So to make a long story short, I've had about 6 different carbs on my truck since I made the mistake of replacing the factory one. I've finally got one on there that's the right tag #, that no 'professional' outfit has ever touched (although one PO). It runs great. I commute about 10 miles to work every day, mostly 55MPH, except for a little in town right toward the end. Lately I had only been getting about 17MPG. Granted I drive with a pretty heavy foot, but that still wasn't quite what I was hoping.

I put my VIN in the EPC and grabbed the part numbers for all the right jets for the carb, and ordered all new ones from Bob Bridge Toyota (www.1sttoyotaparts.com). When I pulled the old ones out, the idle and 2nd jets weren't marked, but the main jet that was in there was stamped 119, and the new one was stamped 116, and obviously had just a hair smaller opening.

Now I'm not sure how much I can attribute to the jets, and how much is the fact that I'm pretty sure they switched to summer gas recently, but either way I just filled up and got 19.5MPG

New jets are only about 5 bucks apiece, and now I know for sure that they're all the right ones.

The secondary jet had fused to the carb body and had to get drilled out (tons 'o' fun), but other than that it was a quick and painless process.

YMMV.
