I'm leaving Midwest behind and relocating to Portland OR at the end of next week. I presume Phil, KevinC, Don, BigBlue (does he still own his black Monty?) I know he doesn't post here any more. I saw some white 2 door on 33s in Beaverton, anyone from here? I would be pleasure to go wheeling/exploring with some of you. I love the view. ![[Linked Image]](http://lh3.ggpht.com/abkogan/SAIicLmAcuI/AAAAAAAABdo/aDCvjfkjD_s/s800/DSCF6063.JPG)

From the view in the picture, it looks like you may have tweaked your t-bars or done a body lift?
Best of luck with your move
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Phil's >12 hrs from Portland, I'm about 5 hrs away. Kevin's in Portland, though, can't get much closer than that!
Other than Brown's Camp and Sand Lake, I don't know much about that area. Have yet to explore east of I-5 in Oregon... Nice state, always a good holiday along the coast.

He has the optional 'turbo' prop....
I miss volcanoes. Is that Mt. Hood? Haven't been to Portland...

Mt St Helen in front and Mt Rainier in back. Columbia river gorge looks nice too ![[Linked Image]](http://lh6.ggpht.com/abkogan/SAIiD7mAcrI/AAAAAAAABdQ/C0qPSJv1gkM/s800/DSCF6034.JPG)

12 h's is not as far as I used to be from you... I'd love to come down and explore that area. It might have to be on bike though - I paid almost $1.30/L for diesel yesterday!
Good luck with the move, and don't forget you can always come north of the 49th to explore as well!

Alex,
Let me know when your in town. Lots of exploring to do both in town and out of town (I think you figured that part out!).
I'm in NE Portland in the Concordia area.

Cool. I haven't met another 4x4wire member since out trip to Mn with Nathan exactly a year ago. I'm settling in Beaverton just off 158th st & hwy 26 right now. That's where my new job is anyway. I'm starting on May 27th. Boo hoo looks like I'm going to have large OHV area in just about 30 miles. http://www.sh4w.org/trails/tillamook/tillamook_ohv_area.htmAlthough I'm more in to expedition type exploration myself. But with 2 little boys and another newborn on my hands not sure how far I could go on that right now. Would be a pleasure to meet with you.

Question. Is there any sort of special permit I need to obtain in OR to access those OHV areas or they are just pay as you go? Yep that http://www.oohva.org/pages/map.html look a lot more promising than Missouri
