Thanks BIGBURLYNAKEDMAN and Humanoid Hint: When you push the Overdrive button and the light on the dash turns on, it turns overdrive OFF. This is what I needed for confirmation. The light never turns on in my Double Cab 2003. That means I have been driving with OverDrive on all this time. But then, how come I am only getting 310 mpg at its very best when I am driving highway? I give regular tune-up and oil changes. Tires are pumped correctly.

I get about 280-290 on a tank highway on mountainous terrain in a ext. cab/auto. 310 would be nice.

Yea. What you read is bogus, unless you are a timid 80-year-old driving on perfectly flat ground in cold weather without stopping. With my supercharger, I usually average about 270 miles per tank (I don't usually run it bone-dry before fill-ups) in the city and MAYBE up to 290 on the highway. Even though it's supercharged, most naturally-aspirated Tacos will exhibit the same mileage. One time, I got 315 out of it by driving 65-70mph through the desert, but when I filled up, the tank took 17.6 gallons! That means I ran the tank almost completely dry, so anything over 280 is usually pretty damned good for mileage between fill-ups.

Greatly appreciate to everyone replying to this thread, especially BIGBURLYNAKEDMAN for the detail messages.
I am more at ease to know that I am averaging like everyone else.
I use to have Eagle Talon that drives 430 mpg on a full tank. So, this 290 mpg on the truck was a bit to adjust to.
Thanks again everyone.

Yeah I tend to be long-winded.
