Budbuilt makes one that's worked well for me thus far. I'd recommend the weld-on unit if you can get someone to put the tabs on your axle. Folks have complained about leakage around the studs he sends you if you use the bolt-on horse collar, but I found Indian Head Gasket Shellac has kept all the fluid inside the diff where it belongs.

Hope you are ok with the accident. Anyway, I added a set of standard cheap helpers to carry heavier loads and they work just fine. I never horse it so axle wrap is not much of an issue anyway. But ladders will do it as well as a racers panhard bar. Readily available at any supply outfit for racers.

I know you've convinced yourself it's all axle wrap.

Why don't you look at these videos of wrap, and then look at yours again.

For truthfully, I don't see anything like appreciable axle wrap taking place with your axle assembly.

If you watch my video a few times you will notice that my axle wrap isnt bad. Its just enough to cause the wobbling acceleration and vibration when on the gas. It feels as almost on take off my wheels are hopping and on a turn near my house you can really feel it when you take off from one road and onto another. If you take off period you can see my transfercase lever wobble left to right, on the gas easy with no torque really and no issue.

I have checked every mount, replaced the trans mount, replaced the carrier bearing, checked my tires and rims, had the driveshaft balanced, had the u joints checked over and over and I have even checked the frame among other things.

The leaf springs are worn out, thus I am getting very slight over movement of what one should normally have. I have 200k on the truck itself, the PO towed his boat a bit and hauled some heavy stuff in the past. I hauled a boat and put a 500lb atv in there a number of times.

If new/re-arched springs dont help I dont know wtf to do anymore. I have done everything imaginable, had it checked by friends who are mechanics, paid the driveshaft guy and my own mechanic and no one can conclusively say anything besides my mechanic who feels its axle wrap.

Watch the video again, notice when I take off and am on the gas the pinion moves ALOT upwards. If the springs werent worn out, it wouldnt move nearly as much and when I am off the gas the truck coasts no problem.

If you want to control axle wrap, do it with a traction bar. That is the only sure way to control it.

That said, I don't see anything significant going on in that video axle-wrap wise. I don't see anything wrong with your springs either. I think throwing a bunch of money into springs is going to be a waste and isn't likely solve your problem...

SO what is it then, why do I get a vibe on the gas? Is something loose or broke I missed?

A messed up third would cause a high speed vibe when on the gas and a wiggle back and forth on take off, plus a wheel hop? I have never heard of such a thing, usually if the third member is busted in any way you will have issues with grab, loud pops, cracks and ratchet kinda stuff. I know, my work van had a rear go.

So what is it:

Bent axle shafts
Messed up rear
Axle wrap

Im starting to give up, cause like I said I have taken it everywhere and just dont know what to do anymore. Anyone recommend a shop in the central nj area?
