This is what I described above. Great idea on pulling the motor to see if it spins.

In my 98 the fan is a gerbil cage type of fan that sits right below an opening in the Cowl and leaves pack in there a lot if I park under trees. It fills up and needs to be emptied every now and then. It could have burned up the motor.
