Take the lift off.. Use stock size tires.. Drive it like you want it to last 400K! Keep the rpm's down. Let it shift up to the next highest gear as quickly as you can..
I'm not too much in favor of tuneups.. On that vehicle a tune should last 75K without changing the economy.
I drive my Ranger like a very OLD lady and am getting near 20 on short around town drives.
