Ok i blew the hg on my truck. thats all fixed just waiting to pick it up...what the best way to get the water out of my oil? just keep changing the oil? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
any help will be good help @ this point...

Drop the pan and clean it out. The boss for the plug stands up almost an inch, so you'd still have a puddle in the bottom. Oil/petrol float on water.

Remember to change your filter too.

What I did on a MC engine that I sank in water was to mix kerosene and 30 wt. oil in a 50/50 mix. Filled it up, started the engine and let it idle for about ten minutes. Drained it, cleaned the filters, and did it again. Then I filled it and ran. When I changed it after five hundred miles, there was no trace of water.

You will have to pull the pan as kewlynx stated to get all the stuff out of the pan, then do the 50/50 mix a couple of times to clean the oil galleys out. Make sure to change the filter each time.

i know i have to drop the pan and clean it....never thought of the kero...then just brink it up to temp or close to and change it again...
