I have been trying to gather information about doing a 2" suspension lift. No one has any kits. The best I could find was 40mm springs from Kings and Ironman and no shocks. Is 2" even possible or recomended? Apart from springs, what shocks would suit and where can all this be found? Are any other parts needed eg swaybar brackets, rear axle rods etc? PS I'm in Australia

Sorry about the delay in answering your PM.

Ironman will probably do a 2.5" lift for you if you contact Kristian Ristell at their head office in Clayton Victoria.

Ask for the same specifications as he made for Gary Campbell in 2003. There could be a 6-8 week wait as they have to be specially made.

9.1 turns at 360 lb/in I've forgotten what the free height of them were for the front, and I can't remember what the specs were for the rear.

I've taken my swaybar off as it caused the vehicle to be too unsteady with it and the lift on. (yes, you did read what I just said correctly ) Front suspension dynamics were out of tune with the rear causing the vehicle to lift wheels through roundabouts at 40 km/h (scary in the rain).

It now handles FAR better than it ever did stock, which given the motoring reviews it had when new isn't particularly difficult.

Thx. What is the performance chip? Is it worth the money spent?

70mm is 2.5" They seem to have withdrawn the shocks they used to supply. Just check through the other forums for suitable lenght shocks.

There were no actual parts that needed to be made as such. Go with the 70mm springs (2.5"). Kristian had the specs on his computer, or at least had the contact info with the coil winder they were using at the time who should have the specs.

If you have a really good dig in this forum for dates around that time (2003) there should be some info there.

Apologies for not looking myself, but I've just had a wisdom tooth removed about 2hrs ago and the local is wearing off

With my "Former Eibachs" I did NOT need any new /differant shocks or sway bar setup.

It was just 2"..............................

Give ADSKIA a call in Newcastle. He recently had 6 inch springs made up for the rear of his sportage. I'll PM you a link to his web address.

Cheers, Chris
