I've thought many times about sleeping in the back of my SWB, but ultimately the conclusion is always no way (I'm 6' 0"), especially since nowadays I usually have a big, metal storage box lashed down in the back (it's not practical to remove on a daily basis). So, whenever I go camping with my truck, I always either pitch a tent or hang a tarp off the side of the truck for a lean-to (quick and easy). On occasion, I've thought about picking up one of these tents because they look like they set up a lot faster than your average tent. I like my tent, but to me it's a little bit of a PITA to set up daily on an expedition-type trip.
