Lately I've been thinking of another vehicle, tho a GT is not a gas sipper, you can still find them for a decent deal.
Question is, any long term problems the turbos have as they age or have more miles on them. Do the turbos wear out or any thing else that some have heard. Just interested in hearing

Don't the answer. But, we know the 3.0 liter in general is decent. As for rebuilding a turbo, no great mysteries there. If I found one with miles in great shape and running well, and for some great price to boot, I'd go for it.
Actually, I am chasing down a new job that would have me commuting for the first time in 7+ years. If I get it, I am not looking forward to daily cross-town drives in the 95. A VR4 is on the wish list.

[hijack] I'm a real sap for pop-up headlights. That means the older 300 HP ones, and not the 320HP. Harder to find in 4WS i think as well.
If I really could find some extra dough, I'd go with the hardtop spyder.

great looking cars though this one is a '94 made to look like a '99 with an aftermarket hood. probably the best looking one i've seen and it's got some nice engine work ![[Linked Image]](http://www.3sx.com/store/cars-3sx/gallery-steve/steve-vr4-2005-03-24-photo-shoot-058.jpg)

I like those older spoilers. The later ones were more ricer-like to me.

Man, that's sharp! I'd like to have one in a soft top. Heck, if I get one someday, I'll have McV build me soft top for it.

the 3KGT are amazing cars...although being as heavy as a tank, are very fun cars. I'm just not a fan of the FWD engine orientation. I heard timing belt changes on those causes some un-controllable swearing.

I heard timing belt changes on those causes some un-controllable swearing. From past experience, you're absolutely correct. It also has a spasmatic effect on the arms causing expensive tools to hurtle thru the air
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

I'm just not a fan of the FWD engine orientation. That has always been a hang up with me too. Call it AWD, but it is still an FWD platform. There was a white Quest with tan leather and about 60k that sold in CA last fall. That's the car I would really love to get. Stony, the GT-VR4 Spyder was a retractable hardtop. ASC is who did the conversion. They are a killer company, IMO. Only top-shelf work- as evidenced by the $15-20k adder to base price for the conversion.
