I guess if your not at the border you can tell border patrol to get lost LOL. I don't recommend it

why is this guy an ?

we are brainwashed to accept a police state these days.

what that guy did was right. the cops can either arrest you and detain you, or you have the right to leave.

problem these days is that kids only know the first amendment...

He did nothing wrong. They're stopping him without cause. It's against the law... or at least it was at one time. That whole 4th amendment thing is still so inconvenient.

Yeah, that guy was an Ahole. He spent more time asking if he was being detained than if he had just answered the question. I'd have been happy if he had been taken out and tazed. Seriously though, is it any wonder that SOME cops/guards become idiots after dealing with pieces of work like that guy?

5 bucks says he's a little fat "intellectual type" that thinks he's a freedom crusader or some smack.

You Guy's are kidding, right?
If not you better come to your senses. Have you any idea why we have check points?

Ummm,

Pray tell why?

He's not being an hole - he's using simple psychological techniques (actually the same techiques taught to law enforcement - as the video plainly shows ) for the preservation of his constitutional rights. If you want a link to the manual I'm more than happy to oblige.

I don't get it...if anyone just says I'm from the U.S., they just let you go? What's the point?

And if you have to show proof, since when do any of you carry around your birth certificate, assuming you still even have one?

What a total freaking joke.

I have a little idea...about putting those jokers on the damn border where they should be in the first place along with an actual fence!!!

Then they can ask for papers all damn day long, like they should be doing in the first place. This is not Nazi Germany or Communist Russia. America does not and SHOULD not have check points internally.

I like it. He may have seemed like a jerk, but he did ABSOLUTLY NOTHING wrong in that video. He actually asked for permission to leave several times, and did not drive off until he got permission.
It does look like he staged, or planned the encounter though. He was probably doing some sort of story on immigration tactics, or something similar, and drove into the checkpoint for the purpose of filming it.

But yea, he did nothing wrong, and in fact did everything right.

Two MRI's and a CAT scan....it's confirmed. I'm just not right in the head.

I agree. He was a being a jerk, but I feel he was in the right.

In a situation such as that shown in the video, how does one stand their constitutional ground without being a jerk?

>>>*Of course a police officer is nothing more than a citizen that is given the JOB of enforcing the laws, people seem to forget that.

Any citizen may attempt to enforce the same laws in the same fashion, it's just that they had better be correct because with an officer it is a duty and with a citizen it is a right. Actually it is also a duty for any private citizen to try to enforce laws but the perception there has seemed to change over the last few decades.

The best advice I can give is if the officer says jump, then jump. Wait until later and there is lots of people around to deal with any out of line conduct.

Most officers will demonstrate restraint but every once in awhile you can run into one that is out of line and does not like "Failure to mind", perceiving that as a threat to their authority. Challenges to that just escalate things, and one can end up with a night in jail.

They will just make something up and make it stick, too.

As far as checking for illegals 50 miles from the border? I would like them to come and check around here, we are 1200+ miles from the border and there really isn't a shortage of them.....*EB
