I go through checkpoints all the time. They just call them DOT scales.

there was no probable cause to stop, in theory the Officer had no right to detain How the heck do you know this, and what theory are you talking about? Why not ask at the check point what's the reason for it. Most all check points I've been through are for home land security. The rest have been for agriculture and pests.

I would have fully supported the idea of everyone one of us having a national ID, being required to carry it and being required to show it whenever asked by law enforcement. No way dude. The Toilet started to flush on this country back in 1971, when the Nixon administration started to open up relations with China. I think our Gov. took some pointers from the other when it comes to control of population.
