Just to be clear...I'm not blaming anyone for this incident. I consider Troy one of my good friends, and know that he was really affected by seeing his friend Jeff hurt. However, Jeff is going to be fine. I think this incident should be used as a reminder, to save us from making the same mistake. Most of us are friends here, and I consider some of the folks here like extended family. Jeff and I share a similar trait, when someone breaks we get enthusiastic in helping them out with trail repairs. I'm quite sure there are other folks here, that have that same desire to get involved in helping someone fix their rig. That's why I think this incident is a healthy reminder for alot of us, to not get lazy with safety. I've noted the lesson myself, and Jeff was a great teacher. However, I would appreciate it if he would not teach us such a lesson in the future. The lesson has way too many emotional bumps, for my particular liking.
