Getting the Wheeling Fever
well i was trying to save gas and my jeep grand is awd so i decided to pull the front drive shaft and now the jeep rolls when in park. i read about a recall on this same situation but it worked the minute before i took out the shaft

If your jeep is AWD, it has a center diff in the transfer case.

Yep and that diff is now unattached to the front wheels so you will roll without using the park brake.

you can increase some mileage by adding 2 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of GASOLINE not diesel. i have been trying this for 2 tanks now & i have gotten about 1 1/2 mpg extra. i also have a fitch fuel catalyst system on my xj & it added about 2 or so mpg.

with a center diff, and no front driveline, wouldnt the car not be driveable at all? or does it have a limited slip in the center? just kind of curious about that.

Body Damage is Cool
Your AWD vehicle has a differential or some type of viscous coupling in between the two axles. If it is an open diff, you wouldn't be able to move with the front driveshaft disconnected. Since you can move, that indicates that you have an LSD in that center differential. If you drive it continuously with the front drive shaft removed, there is a decent chance you'll wear out that LSD fairly quickly. It would be like driving a vehicle with a rear LSD and one rear axle shaft removed.

Me think's I'd put da shaft back in before u get the shaft. A few bucks on fuel now....or a whole lotta more later!
