Body Damage is Cool
|
Just throw some 37s on it and be done. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Tho yes I run 37s, and yes it bangs the holy hell out of the sheet metal. FWIW I have yet to really cut or chunk a tire badly doing it.
One of the local toy shops...the only yota-centric place around that operates out of a shop, really...was doing some interesting work last summer "tubbing" the wheel wells on the newer Tundras. The body mount on those is so far forward that any amount of hammer massage is pretty pointless. Basically they were cutting the body mount about in half and tacking sheet metal up against it and the back of the wheel well.
The premise is really - rubbing isn't all that bad. When the tire catches something and hangs up - that's bad.
