Alright I am trying to get the correct throw out bearing and it is not working. I have an 1987 4runner but the manual trany was changed out before I owned it. I bought a new clutch set for it and intsalled the clutch to the 22RE no problem. I went to change out the throw out bearing and bam a problem. The thow out bearing that the clutch set cam with was flat and just the bearing no clutch hub or spring clip. So I order another hub from NAPA and the guy states that the one I have currently is an assembly off of a 1988 Truck. I get the assebly ordered and it looks close except the mating surface on the bearing is smaller than the other bearing that came with the clutch set and smaller than the one that is on the fork. Also, the clips don't hold it real tight they go around the ears on the clutch hub instead of over them like the old clip did. So, I take it back and order one online from Checker. The picture shows the correct hub but I just got the damn thing and it is the same one I got from NAPA. What the hell is going on here?

The bearing and hub fit on to the trany shaft but I am afraind that the clips won't hold it to the fork very well and that the smaller mating surface might cause me problem. Can you guys give me some advice?

Left is the new assembly that does not hold well to the fork with these clips. Middle is the old assembly. Right is the throwout bearing that came with the clutch set.
