Time is almost here to park the 1994. I have done some work to the older one, and with a little more will be on the road soon. This will give me time in the winter to fix those little annoying problems that aren't worth tearing things all apart for when you're driving your truck day-to-day.
I think I'm going to wire-in the second relay and resistor on a timer on the 1991. That should make it start/run better in the cold weather. Still gonna have to manually hold the glow for 3 seconds, but the second relay will keep juice to the plugs through the resistor for a while longer to help keep them hot. What fun.
The 1994 used about 1/2 liter in 5000kms. Not even a consideration. The other one uses a liter every 1500kms or so...well, leaks some and burns some.
My neibour told me about a Toyota diesel engine and transmission laying around that I could have if I wanted it....wonder if it's seized, or any good at all.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
