The Sporty is acting up again. It will run fine and then just kill. I mean it will die, but you can crank it right back.
When going down the road it cuts out, but it does it like you turned the key off going down the road. You can let off the gas and it will pick right back up.
You can even floor it and it will run like crazy until the exact moment it goes to shift out into high gear.
Any ideas on this one? Could it be the other coil possibly? Sure doesn't seem like the first one...

Check and clean the fuel-pump relay it can cause the engine to run poorly or just stop.

OK, I'll do that... but I don't have the benefit of having a repair manual, so I'll have to find it first... lol...

It is located in the underhood fuse panel. When you take the cover off there will be a legend on the inside of the cover that will identify the relay locations.

Well, I had the CEL code read... it gave a code for the mass airflow sensor.
I don't know if it was dirty or bad... I just replaced it. I'm running much better now, however........
It's still sputtering sometimes and tripping the CEL. It's a mass airflow code... high...
I don't know if it's that the new sensor is bad... the wiring connection, or the fact that my new intake hose is not here to put on yet... I found it had cracks in the rubber on the bottom.... so it's sporting duct tape at the moment.

I'd clean the connector. This happened to me a couple of times, and if I cycled the connector it would quit for a while, but then come back. I got some electrical contact cleaner and sprayed it in there. Problem solved.
You can also use some rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts or a rubber eraser if you can fit it in there.
