It is funny to think back eight years ago and remember our present President, giving enormous tax refunds for people buying huge SUV's. (Hummers) Now were finding the fuel makers can't seem to keep up, or what ever the excuse is on 6-3-08. Now people have them, are stuck with them and the GAS they consume. There is something everyone needs and got tax breaks on. Then I think about the Sirius/XM merger, nothing anyone really needs. But money that certain people will have problems getting if the thing goes through. HUMMMM, Who is needing funds, some one leaving soon? Who got with Energy Management at the first of their Pre____cy? Some thing seems wronge!?

Tax deal was meant for fleet rigs and the like; was poorly written; shouldn't have been for the private sector, if at all.

I hope the enviro nazis don't ever figure out that the H2 gets better gas mileage than my Land Cruiser.
Otherwise I'll probably find my rig on fire in some parking lot or myself lynched somewhere for not adhearing the carbon footprint limitations of nobody average joe's like me.
I was hoping the H2 would stick around so I could continue to get by, why it was the scapegoat and target of all the wackos.
If the H2 goes away, I may have source a "bio-diesel" sticker to put on back of my Land Cruiser and figure out a way to make the engine rattle and belch out black smoke.
Fortunately, with gas what it is, my Land Cruiser is enjoying it's new job as the world's largest paperweight under the protection of my garage.

Hard to believe but I am getting 37+ out of this: ![[Linked Image]](http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7866/picture027ot4.jpg) Has aluminum intake tube, K&N cone filter, header, 2.25 exhaust, cheap fleabay fart can, deleted EGR, and the PO had a lumpy cam put in it. Just got it running Monday and was really shocked. Put 42 dollars worth of gas and have driven 90 miles so far and haven't hit 3/4 of a tank yet. I was expecting around 20. Kane

Otherwise I'll probably find my rig on fire in some parking lot... They're probably buying up carbon credits in preparation to do just that.

This is the one I want: 123 mpg I'm pretty serious about it too. I'm trying to find something cheap to start with, but this will be where I end up for around town driving if I get my way.

Kane Ya that is hard to believe. I had that very model, except mine was an '83 hatchback and I was getting in the low 20s. Maybe mid 20s if I was very lucky. I very much doubt 37 though. Run a few tanks in it first. It's an aerodynamic car for its day, but it also weighes a lot too for its size.

I like the Honda Ruckus, although the Yamaha looks a little more streetable. I think it would be fun to have something I could drive to work in, but also play in the woods too. Maybe one of those old Honda 80cc street/dirt bikes they used to make. What are they called? With the high/low range? I used to ride one in Montana and wished I could have brought it home. Ran it out of oil one time, didn't know it and it still ran all day.
