Pretty much everything in the front is brand new including the head. The block itself has over 130k on it but the head and other stuff was replaced a couple months ago.

I haven't ran it in a while being I was deployed once again with the Army.

While trying to drive to Eugene...I could hardly go 65mph, I shift it into 4th gear and it doesn't want to go there.

I have never replaced the fuel pump and I don't recall replacing the fuel filter in over 2 years.

But after trying to get to 55..I had to pull over at the rest stop and then it shut off. Smoke was coming out but I don't know where.

My question and concern is that I have a feeling that the oil pump or something else is toast on it or it is not distributing oil to the proper place or something. Could this cause a lack of power or the failure to maintain highway speed?

I mean if the oil pump was suspect, it shouldn't start right? Or am I displaying the symptoms of a bad fuel filter? I mean I just thought a bad fuel filter would never make it get to highway speed.

Right now..I am going to replace the fuel filter, fuel pump in the tank with new filter for it also, and the ECU.

Right now it starts and it idles fine but it just doesn't want to go over 65mph

You guys at 4x4wire rock.....and I hope this board runs forever.....like my 4runner dudes.

Cheers....it could be worst but I hope its just a simple fix.
