Yep, same bulb in back. I repowered mine so that it works with the engine off.

Map lights are harder to do as they are a small round bulb. Actually mine work very well as they are only supposed to throw a small spot of light down onto your lap to read a map. Just make sure the little lens and reflector for each one is clean.
