Not to mention that you can get a high pinion 9 inch...don't think the 8.8's came in a HP version.

Exactly. I also read some where that there was a 9 with a large 9 on it. They called it a Super Nine. Or some thing to that effect.
Any one have info on 9's that would fit? I have a 01' TJ.

Google SunRay Engineering in texas. They build custom 9" for Jeeps and would prolly be happy to talk to you for a few minutes about what you need to look for. Or convince you to buy one of their custom ones...$$$, but worth it IMHO.

Steve you can go to craigslist.org and surf "autoparts---search--- 9' axle" In cities all over america.
Just yesterday I spent a couple of hours looking for a 99 Ranger front axle and hub.. I found it in a city in California.. It is presetly in a UPS carrier and on it's way here.
While searching for "front axle" Many 9's were included in my search as they were in an ad for a front axle also.
I do try to stay out of the RUST BUCKET cities but so far I have had good luck with craigslist and eBay.

Nice site. I was reading the Latest JP mag today, and was thinking of going through Curry. Hell, after the seach and rescue, the tear down, the rebuild and install. All the querks and extra $$$$ spent trying to make it right.
I will probably end up spending the same money and less time going there.
I looked at the site Brown kicked out and it pretty muck threw me there way. I looked at there site and came up with the part # CE-JTJ9704X.
Just don't like the price, OUCH!!!!

I can beat Curries with no problem.

I build 9s with 35 spline shafts if you are going to spend good cash, you might as well make it bomber.

I can build D60s pretty reasonable too.
