What we talked about seemed kinda steep, unless we were talking about both the front and rear. I know the hobby and life we live is not cheap. As well, a really good axle is not cheap either. I need more time to consider. If it is for both we need to talk some more.
It was good to talk to some one here and get some good info first hand. You are very informative and I will recommend any one to talk to you about any axle info. You got it goin' on!
I feel I need to get something going on soon, but I also need to make good $$$ decisions. I just bought this house and need to put priorities in order.

Steve If you do upgrade you won't want the bag boy at the local supermarket to build one for you in his spare time..
What you want is a guy that builds em for a living and one that lives out there where axles get broke would be a good idea.
If I ever need an axle built I'm going to Denver!!

BJ, there were some things that were an upgrade to what Currie was offering. And Josh knows his stuff. I am not going to bash any company for their services. I am playing a roll of customer just trying to get the best service. I trust Currie Enterprises and I also trust Josh. But, right now there prices are not correlating. I need to press further to understand the final outcome.
Right now it is a show down, and both companies are very close to the same product with differant prices.

True, but Josh is a member here and I have listened to stuff he has said since I joined. He knows his stuff. The other company on the other hand I have heard nothing about short of the ads in the mags that I get.
I would rather take something to CO where at least I have had some contact with other than ads.

Well this is a bumber. Things have went sour on the $$$ that I was going to spend on the axle transplant. As it would be my life story, the inevitable has happened and the $$ money saved is going to a different cause.
My sisters A/C went out and with her three kids and her broken husband, she needs help. Me being the A/C guy in the family, I am supposed to be the one to step up. The money spent will be returned. But in the mean time I don't have the spend age available.
Hopefully, this can be continued.
Josh, the price I got from Currie was $1,600 on my door step by mail. For the rear axle. On page two of this post I gave a detailed description of what Currie was going to build. It was off their site under 9" rear ends. The only thing I left off was the 1 year warranty. From what I understand is the only difference is the 31 splines vs 35 and the width.
I apologize guys. I will get back with you josh or we can talk about this further PM me, but right now is not a good time for the transplant.
Thanks for all the advice and support from all you guys, you are the best.

I just looked at the Currie site. Just the 3rd member in a 9+ case (similar to what I sell) With ARB 4.56 gears Alone is $1926 No housing or shafts brakes, TJ brackets.
Be careful.

The page 2 thing was for this thread. I listed every bit of info that I was given, along with the part number. The Curry site was kinda diffacult to get around in. In the end I was able to find a complete axle, but I went to page two of this thread to see about brake issues and found no option. Just what it would except. I called Curry to find out about the total cost plus shipping. Came to about $1600, from what the person said from Curry.
