Need a Spot
Hello
I would love any kind of advice. Waiting at a traffic light and then taking foot off brake and pressing on gas, within the first foot of takeoff I feel a small thump. The same goes for if I was to brake quickly. After coming to complete stop there is again the same thump. It doesn't happen any other time than takeoff and coming to complete stop. I thought the thumps came from tranny, but aamco said no. The engine is a 3.6 6cyl and runs perfectly. I just don't know where these thumps are coming from. Could if be suspension? Someone mentioned that maybe the body is sliding on the chassis. Is that possible? Has anyone ever heard of this problem? thanks.

Body Damage is Cool
Couple of possibilities:
1. Check to make sure your jack hasn't come loose inside its compartment
2. http://isuzufaq.ibctech.ca/#faq9
3. Check that your body mount bolts are tight. The locations are.. front of frame, frame about where the front of the door is, frame behind where the door is, and at the rear of the frame.

Also, your engine is a 3.2 v6
good luck

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

How is the spare tire held in on that model?

spare tire is on the back door. I doubt the thump is from there. One other possibility is that the slip yoke needs to be greased - I'll look around for threads and try to post some here...

Found it. Read this:

Slip yoke needs lube. Mines been that way for about 40,00 miles, maybe I will fix it this weekend... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
