good news is the vibration has reduced substantially. But, I'm going to reinstall the shims/wedges again only with the thick end facing the front of the truck. With a 6 degree difference (83 at the xfer case and 77 at the diff.) the shims I have are @ 3/8" thick. That should narrow the angle difference to within a couple of degrees (I hope).
