Yea I definitely like the Airaid. But since my airbox is broken, I'd have to get their whole kit, instead of just the tube.

I ended up getting a super good deal on the K&N unit, and was given the offer to return it for a full refund if it didn't work, so I took it. I was going back and forth between K&N and Airaid (I really like how Airaid uses an actual heat-barrier instead of a half-a$$ed shield like the K&N), but the deal I got was too good to pass up.

Installed it Saturday afternoon in a little under 2 hours, and so far it's actually been great (keeping my fingers crossed!). I was really worried about it leaning out the mixture and loosing power (like with Gadget's experience), but I've seen nothing of it...No check engine light, and no noticable loss in power.

From my initial experience with it, I might have lost a little bottom-end, but have definitely gained top-end, without a doubt. In the past, when under 3/4 throttle at highway speed, it would make no difference if I pushed the pedal the rest of the way; it would just keep the same speed and RPM. Now, when I push it the last 1/4 of the way to WOT, it sends me back into my seat ALL THE WAY till it shifts. Amazing.

I'll keep you all posted if anything new comes up, but for right now, I'd have to say that, at least in MY CASE, the K&N worked out pretty well. We'll see!
