We took a weekend trip down to the Pueblo area and put mostly highway miles on the '98 Montero. I drove around 80 mph most of the time on I25. I was able to get 19.7 mpg on 85 octane fuel. I am very pleased. I was able to get a hair over 20 on a cross-country trip last fall. I better count my blessing until the new larger tires go on!
