Hi guys, I'm getting ready to do the electrical fan mod on my Sportage.

I was wondering, what brands of electric fan have worked well for you guys?

I will be using the fan with a Spal fan controller which will run the fan at a low speed until it needs to, then switch to high speed. Great little box, this fan controller.

I know the Spal fans are supposed to be really good and have had very good reports on forums. I also have heard good things about Flex-a-lite fans. Both are expensive.

I myself used an Empire fan I bought from Autozone on my old Sportage. This fan was a piece of crap and wore out after a year or two and almost caused my engine to overheat.

I replaced it with a Procomp fan which seemed great, but I did not have it long enough to know if it was durable, the vehicle got wrecked while the fan was still pretty new.

So, what brands of fan (and models if possible) have you guys had good luck with? I mostly am trying to find out if there is a cheaper fan that is durable and will last a long time.

What brand did you decide on Nukey?

I have a Pro-com 17 still in the box with a controler---I think that I'll hang on to it for a while though

I haven't decided yet, and I can't afford to buy one right now. I took summer school this summer and my classes take too many hours so I don't have a job right now, just living off of financial aid leftovers from the Spring semester, so I'm running low on money

I'll probably have to wait until the fall to do the fan install.
