Thanks- We'll call that color Texan Green then. It's never gone more than 6 months without a wax in it's life.
Do you happen to remember the brand of wires you bought at O'Reilly's? I want to know this out today if possible.
Thanks, Vince

Haha... Texas Green it is!
I wanted the NGK's but they didn't have any in stock. So I picked up the BOSCH Spark Plug Wires instead. They when on with no issues and do the job.
But, if you can find the NGK's grab em' quick!

Belden part # 700741 or NGK part # 9545. Both readily available from NAPA. Or, mine, at least... Sweet - so I just ordered the Belden's and they are delivering to a store right near where I am. They were very helpful at Napa. I talked to a guy that said he has used Beldon wires for years on all his vehicles, so we'll give it a go. They were twice as much as the store brand, so although price is not always an indication of quality, in this case I hope it is.

I've run the Belden's on it for years now, with no issues whatsoever. Glad to help.

I drove Big Bend in 2002 with my Dad for his 75th birthday. Back then, I was driving a '94 Range Rover. A black truck gets hot on the desert floor Leather interior doesn't help either. My inside temp sensor was reading 130 F, but I thought it was reading too high. Very cool place, my Dad thinks anyone's nuts to drive or camp out there after early June [Too hot] I loved the small pigs roaming around, Javalenas?[spelling] They knew to prowl the main campground for every sucker that would throw them food. We stayed out of the desert floor campsites, and stuck to the much higher altitude one in the hills. Insects hang around at the lower ones if there's any water around[pretty buggy during mating season] I want to go back bad, but my Dad's 81 now and I'm not sure he's up for another round. Have fun in Big Bend.

I just got a set belden's too... good thing is that they have a lifetime warranty... just keep the receipt and they'll replace them... well that's the 'theory'...

Forgot to mention, make sure you get the new blue box, not the old yellow. The old Belden's are fine, but the new ones are purdyer That's the only reason I replaced the ones I had on it...

Female.
Listen to her sing her way down the road sometime. Such a lovely alto, and so smooth, and so strong at the same time. You have to have had one with a turbo to really appreciate it...
She will do any reasonable thing you desire, and quite a few from the crazy mofo column, too, as long as you take good care of her and pay attention to her.
When something is wrong, she will do everything necessary for it to be obvious (a) what's wrong, and (b) what you need to do to fix it. You are just too stupid and unobservant to understand her. It IS your fault...
She likes the best you can find to give her.
You have to listen all the time.
It's never as much fun when she's on top.
Don't speed shift.
She likes new shoes, and often.
Once a month she gets really strange.
Need any more?
Not responsible for advice not taken...

Hey gennycos! good to know there are more Monty's in Texas than just mine! From lookin at your pics, I may have seen you in Big Bend. Last fall sometime (was the same color!)
Lucky me! I'm in Fort Stockton!
As you know, Big bend can be a very dangerous place in the summer. Last year, the wife and I drove River Road from Boquillas Canyan (50 miles) to Santa Elena Canyon and only saw two other people along the way. Two days after the trip, my ECU failed
Anyway, if ya want, gimme a holler next time ya plan on going there.
