Need a Spot
I recently acquired a 1980 Toyota. I just got out of the Bronco scene, and am not really sure who or where is the best place to go for parts, i.e fenders body seals, etc. I'm trying to get this truck restored bone stock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the Dealer.I was a parts guy at a Toyota Dealership in the 90's and got parts for a buddies FJ45.They might have discontinued that stuff now but we used to order stuff "off-line" and get it in 3-6 weeks from the original manufacturer.I also ordered some ignition parts for a 1969 FJ40.

Body Damage is Cool
I've been having fairly good luck with dealer parts for my '84. There was a time when people on this forum were saying good things about 1sttoyotaparts.com which seems to sell OEM parts at a discount. I've also had good luck buying from forum users on this board and yotatech.com and the Marlin Crawler board . Yotatech has a system of rating the transaction history of its members like ebay, if that helps. Pirate4x4 has a very rich pool of Toyota enthusiasts too, if you can stand the California Youth Authority ethos (CYA is the juvenile prison system in CA). Of course this forum is hard to beat for friendly advice in an adult atmosphere. -- Matt

And welcome to the early Toyota 4x4 world. -- Matt <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
