Hi jroc! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
I've used Moog BJ's from NAPA over the years; they seem to hold up alright.
I know the Tacos had a recall on the BJ's awhile back; can't remember if they involved the big T's or not.

You can get a heim (uniball) replacement for the lower, nothing on the market for the uppers. Uniball lowers come from Total Chaos Fabrication (chaosfab.com) they're spendy.

anybody know if the uppers wear out slower?
doesn't it have to do with which control arm carries the majority of the torsion bar load?

On these rigs, the upper carries the weight of the rig and the weight of the tire when the suspension tops out on droop. The lower supports the rig when the suspension bottoms out and gets the damping forces from the shock.
On the newer IFS, the lower BJ gets all the abuse and the upper just locates the top of the knuckle.

the preferred replacement parts that last longer are the SAS pieces. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Especially if the SAS'd truck just sits in the drive....... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" /> it's in the garage...............

FWIWorth. My son's 93 Corolla just got a second set. First ones had grease but were chewing themselves to pieces. Not factory. Got replacements from the same guy, same stuff, and no problem for the last 4 months. So far so good.
