 Water vs. Alternator

I live in an area where most of the trails have deep water on them. I've had to replace my alternator a few times, seems once it goes underwater it quits working <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />. Just one of those things. Unfortunately, Toyota mounts the alternater low, so its vulnerable to getting wet. Muddy water is a killer. Try to avoid it.
Stick to clear mountain streams, like Fordyce creek.

We used to have a mountian on the state flag, but it's also been removed.

I've looked at my 87 on moving the thing. I have a body lift and you can reach through the frame to it. very exsposed to the elements. you could fab a bracket and move it up.
