Getting the Wheeling Fever
Made a water crossing last night and hit a big hole in the middle that was deep enough to come up the windshield and roll into the truck trough the rolled down windows . Luckily no engine damage, but I've been looking at putting a snorkel on for a while and was curious if any of the profiles offered by ARB or Safari fit T100s well, if not I'll just make my own but I thought I'd give it a shot, Thanks.

I made some using some abs piping, a safari snorkel head and some 2" to 3" and such reducers. One out of the airbox to 2" piping to another that goes into the 3" piping for the snorkel.

Was pretty easy..

Just make sure all yer vacuum hoses are good and tight and in good/great condition...any cracks in them won't make it a happy day.

The ARB Safari model listed for the Tacoma will also fit a T100. No mods necessary is my understanding...

Homemade snorkels can be functional, but 9 times out of 10 they look pretty redneck/ghetto, IMO.

Body Damage is Cool
The Tacoma one fits. Match up the antenna notch and drill. You may want to redo the way it connects to the airbox. I've seen some of the 1 out of 10 customs that do look nice. The nicest are done out of exhaust tubing and use the traditional ARB/Safari cap or a conical k&n type filter.

I was looking at this one and thinking it looked close, thanks for the info. I agree with the 9 times out of 10 people go for function over fashion but I wasn't planning on going that way if I had to make my own. I also considered fabbing a valve that closed off the ouside air intake and rerouted it to a tube that came into the cab so that I wouldn't have the outside tube. Sure it would be noisy when opened, but how long is anyone usually crossing deep water.
