its the head gasket. Finally pulled the heads after letting the engine sit on the stand, yep gasket breached (also worth noting the drivers side head had 2 fairly loose head bolts). Classic severe overheat symptoms...

I was wondering, I wanted to paint the engine while its out of the truck. whats the best way to tape off the deck? newspaper and masking tape? Also, lots of dirt and chipping paint so I would appreciate ideas on how to clean the engine up as well.
