My '85 book lists the color codes in the Body Electrical (BE) section (which is conveniently located about 200 pages *before* the wiring diagrams):

B = Black
G = Green
L = Light blue
O = Orange
R = Red
W = White
BR= BRown
GR= GRey
LG= Light Green
P = Pink
V = Violet
Y = Yellow

And X-Y means X-color wire with Y-color stripe
