So whats next on the list for the Montero. Lemme guess, bumpers and winch? No wait, gears and lockers.... Or maybe skids and small projects? See, there's always something to mod. Man, this sport gets expensive

You hit the nail on the head! I need an on-board air compressor for airing back up. I am gonna need body armor with all of the rocks out here. Front and rear bumpers, rock rails, and better skid plates underneath. With all the stories I read about people getting in tight spots, a winch is going to be a life-saver. I would like a roof rack for putting all of our camping gear, with a mount for a hi-lift (I definately need one of those now too, although until I get new bumpers/rock rails, I don't know where I would attach to if I need to change a tire ), and room for extra fuel and water cans.

I will need some additional lighting for off-road, especially since Joe is talking about doing a night run on the Slaughterhouse trail . New 4.90 gears would be ideal, and if I do that, of course I need to put in a front locker. For some of the stream fording, I should also get a snorkel and extend my diff breathers. WOW! That is just the short list of essentials. Good thing my wife is going back to work! Maybe she will give me $10K so I can get started...
