Which product are you looking at? The drain plug insert?

To be honest I didn't see the drain plug insert. I was thinking about the heating pads that attach to the bottom of the oil pan. BUT, if the drain plug insert would work, then it may last longer... Again, opinions/advice welcome <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

i doubt that insert will work for you. its for detroit, cummins, or a cat diesel.

on the other hand....the pathfinder im talking about is on its way to san juan island and shes lived there for 8 years with no block heaters of any kind in her other cars/trucks with no issues. -30 temps in alaska is another story though.

what im trying to say is its unnecessary here in washington IMO
