Nice truck, Randy. I am not sure if the Gen I adjustment is the same as the Gen II, but I was able to raise my front end 3", and by trimming the upper bump stops as much as possible, I still have about 3/4" space left. Whereabouts in CO are you? Joe from Colorado Springs may chime in, he has a nice lifted Gen I.

Thanks. I am SE of Denver (Aurora/Centenniel). Started replacing the shocks last night and had to stop, will be bringing a die grinder home from work today <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> Some family member are coming in the week of the 3rd so I need to have it ready by then. Gonna do the tourist ride for them, Pikes Peak, Mt. Evans, Devils Head etc.

Nothing really to add beyond what's been said. Crank the t-bars and trim the upper bump-stops. And yes, the swap to Gen II UCAs is quite beneficial. You'd get a little more lift, the angles on the CV axles are more relaxed, and you'd be able to set the proper camber once the t-bars are cranked. If you stayed with Gen I UCAs after cranking the t-bars, you won't be able to set proper camber and the CV axles would be under more strain as the axles they run would be more severe.
Note that once you switch to Gen II UCAs, you MUST crank the t-bars, otherwise your front wheels will lean very noticeably outward.
