Why did you bother with a timing light? If you were going to time it by ear..just go ahead and leave the light on the bench!
How do you know the battery is still hot?
Do you hear a click when you turn the key?
Do you have it in PARK or the clutch pressed?
If you find a way to get it to turn over put a light on it with the vac hose off of the dist and have someone else turn it over while you look at where it is timed now.. Then adjust it till it starts and retime it properly.
