I was thinking one should be able to spin the fan easier by hand when the engine was cold, the purpose of the slippage being to allow the engine to warm up, and once warmed up the clutch should lock up allowing more cooling airflow.

I guess it's been a while since I gave my fan a spin by hand. [Linked Image]
