Hi, my name is Larry. And, I too am a Monteroholic. I bought mine from my Dad for $100 6 years ago. I have since been offered as much as $5,000 for it. Once with cash in hand. I declined.

So far, I have over $5,000 in it. There are plans for another ~$10-15k. The wife is 100% in favor of whatever I choose to do with it. She's glad that I actually leave work on time because I now have a hobby outside of work.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Monteros, umm, Monterohaulic, not sure. For me I think it is just part of my Mitsuhaulism.
I think the two Montis, one Raider are just a small part of it. I think with 4 early Dodge Colts, 7 Starions, 2 3000GTs, 2 mid 90,s Mirages, 3 Galant VR4 an 89 Colt GT with a 4G63 in it, a pair of Mighty Maxs and probably a few others that are around here. I would say I have bigger than average issues.
Now I just need to get time for a road trip down to Georgia to get another Colt.
And just to say I do not consider this a real problem since I still have my 1973 Kubota tractor, I have not replaced it with a Mitsubishi tractor, yet.

Cheers, Charlie

Hi, my name is denial and no, I'm not a monterohaulic. I moderate this forum and am a member on 4-5 other montero forums because I enjoy the internet.

Where's Dan with his 20 vehicle strong Montero graveyard?
He definitely needs to respond here.

Hi, my name is Richard and I'm a Mitsuholic... My father gave me my 89 Raider as an Xmas gift. It started with just playing around on dirt roads and slowly progressed. Meeting a drunken psychopath (Brendan) in a walmart parking lot changed my life forever. I later purchased an 89 Montero LWB from Brendan, and quickly found myself replacing a 4cyl trans bolted to a V6. And a cracked rear axle with an SR locking rear I also bought from Brendan. I also started to purchase an 87 Turbo monty from Brendan, but am forced to get rid of it so I am stripping it and scraping the carcass. Ohwell, I have my eye on a VR4

It's a slippery slope, and I fell by accident. Told my Brother-in-law he could park his Raider in my yard to sell it. Darn thing made itself at home. I'm only in for about 2500 so far, but I'm just getting started. I love my raider because it's not a Jeep like everybody else has, but I can follow Jeepers anywhere they go, and pull them where they can't.
