Need a Spot
New to this forum and just a couple questions (sorry for any redundancy).

Just wanted to know how to go about getting about 2-3" of lift out of my Guntero. What lift kits are available and affordable? Would I need new suspension if I were to get a lift? Also what size 33" BFGs will fit neatly with a 2-3" lift?

Thanks

Welcome.

You can fit up to 37's with a lift & drive train mod's like R&P & xcase gearing to turn them off road.

33x12.5's fit with the right wheels & a slight cranking of the torsion bars IIRC but perhaps a 95 owner can chime in.

Also to get your picture to show, it needs to be a link to the actual image and not the page the image is located on. That said the url should end in the image file name (usually .jpg).

Last but not least you should read the FAQ posts at the top of this forum and also don't be afraid to use the search function as this has been asked many times before. If you need help with it, just let me know.

No problem.

That's pretty nice looking especially in secret service black. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

So are your intentions to have a nice looking rig, or a functional off road rig (may also be nice looking)?

Performance and functionality is my primary concern. No point in paying and installing items I won't use (esp. since I'm on a small budget). The Montero was actually beige with black trim before I painted it matte black, but I chose matte black just to keep everything simple and uniform as I believe most bull bars and racks will be/are available in black/matte black.

I plan on ghosting the tail lights and front turn signals with spray tint very soon.

I've done some searching and I am considering cranking the torsion bars and getting rear springs. Are there any tutorials or walkthrus for these procedures?

Skip the bull bar/brush bar and get a whole bumper.

x2 what he said. Get real stuff, not look good stuff.

The semi gloss is killer. I wanted to do mine like that, but I guess someone already has it. I have another plan though.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
