Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone had any experience running Seafoam thru their intake manifold to clean out carbon deposits? does it work? Does it lower HC on emission tests? there are lots of stories on Youtube about it. just do a search on seafoam if you want to see them. Let me know what kind of experience you have had with it!

thanks!

Try changing your spark plugs with platnum plugs, air filter and pcv valve to lower your hydro carbons.I went thru this problem before.

I take it you have had it tested and are high on the CO portion? I had my last one (88 2.6) and the first time round it flunked: 36k on CO particulates and limit was 25k I believe. Here's what I did: I ran the tank down to less than 1/8, went to Lowes and spent $14 on two gallons of denatured alcohol (which is of course is wood grain) and dumped in the tank. Second time it passed <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

It will surely help remove carbon deposits. Use a vacuum line from the throttlebody to run it in & then shut down. Restart it 1 hour later & suck some water or windshield washer thru it. It will smoke quite a bit on restart.
